Alexis' Baby Shower

This past Saturday was Alexis' Baby Shower and - Oh Boy! Oh Boy! - was it awesome! My bestie (Krista) is a super crafty gal who just happens to love decorating + making Puff Balls. She asked to me help out with a couple of the paper goods and together we are an unstoppable decorating force! It was so much fun and I'm glad I was able to help out! Special thanks to Marla (and her newly decorated home) and the rest of the shower hosts (Beth, Rachel, Jessica & Katie) for a great afternoon!

These little guys were just the cutest! Since she made all of the puff balls herself, Krista ordered these off Etsy (the best website in the world) Check them out the site here!

Also, Krista ordered this cardboard cupcake holder for like $12 online and covered it with awesome wrapping paper to create THE cutest cupcake stand in the world! Amazing!

This is a custom design I did for a friend. She wanted some color to spice up her guest bathroom and she just got a new chocolate lab puppy, so... here we are! Happy Friday!

The Sweazys

A few months ago Melissa Sweazy (the brilliant mind behind Melissa Sweazy Photography) contacted me about commissioning a custom illustration of her family (side note: she was referred to me by local designer Sophorn McRae, who rocks pretty hard as well) Her hubbs is turning 40, her daughter is turning 4, they just moved into the new home they built and she's totally preggers with their second child (whew!) So, she wanted something special to commemorate this super special/crazy busy time in their life. After a lovely conversation, we figured out a few details that she wanted to include (Harlow is obsessed with princesses, Caleb plays guitar, etc.) Melissa supplied me with a few photographs to draw from and off I went!

The end result is one of my most favorite designs and the whole family was super thrilled!
