Screen Printed cards!
I bet a lot of you don't know that I started my adventure in the stationery world as a screen printer. Yup - that's right! I had about 10 different designs in a wide assortment of colors and envelopes. I designed and burned every single screen and then hand printed each individual card. It was a LOT of work. And then the digital age blew up and printing became a LOT less expensive and no one wanted to pay high dollar for designer, hand printed cards... tear. I have since shifted by business to custom designs and invitations, relying heavily on other printers. But I still hold a place in my heart for screen printing - I miss getting ink all over my hands (and face and clothes...) and my back hurting from continually pulling ink and the satisfying feeling of printing over 500 cards in a day... But, alas - I guess it just wasn't in the cards.
In honor of my first love (and old methods meeting new), I am giving away 5 packs of these screen printed cards (6 cards with envelopes) to the first 5 new people who start to follow me on Twitter (@JPressSusan) OR become a fan on Facebook (JPress Designs). Go old school and hand write and note to a friend or catch up on those thank you notes you've been meaning to write! Those little buttons to the right really do work, so go ahead and click on one! Happy Friday!
Also, I still haven't heard from all the winners from last week! Please be sure to email me at info@jpressdesigns.com and let me know your address and which calendar design you want!
