From Soup to Nuts...

So, if you are wondering why I haven't been posting recently I'll tell you: I'm totally mad at you - JK! How could I be mad at ALL the people who look at my blog... that would be like... 20 people - JK again! (not really though...) ANYWAY (I guess I'm feeling a little silly today...) The REAL reason that my posts have been few and far between is that I have been spending the majority of my free time working with the lovely ladies at Modern Ink Magazine.

A couple of months ago Allison Sprouse and Rachel Wood Turner approached me about designing an online magazine. I quickly accepted their offer and have since designed the most extensive, detailed and elaborate body of work I have ever come across: An entire magazine spanning 144 pages of art, music, literature, fashion and general awesomeness! I am so excited and proud of this endeavor and I can't wait to share the final result with you! The magazine launches June 1 (don't worry - I'll be sure to remind you!) Until then, you will have to be satisfied with a sneak peek of the cover.

I'm also totally obsessed with Pinterest (who isn't, right?) Happy Friday and Memorial Day Weekend!!!

Opposite Day

Another great book I like to refer to from time to time is (another) Paul Arden book:Whatever You Think Think The Opposite. It really inspires me and helps me get through those nasty creative slumps... (not that I'm in one now or anything...)

Happy Friday!

Translations

Remember when Domino magazine would do "can this room/movie/outfit, etc. be turned into an outfit/room, etc."? I do (because it was awesome). Here is my fist attempt at the same thing...

The image is of Cinque Terre, Italy and it looks beautiful! I've never been, but after viewing this photo it has now made the official Top 10 list!

Swatch it Up!

Check out my latest design "Swatch"! He is available as an invitation or as individual letters for a nursery, etc.

The concept is derived from fabric swatches and I love the random pattern effect it gives! They should be up on Etsy tomorrow!

Lovely Lavatory

My good friend (who has recently re-designed her guest bathroom) asked me to create some art for said restroom. I gladly accepted the assignment and was really pleased with the end result: a nice, colorful tree illustration with a silhouette of a labrador (a tribute to her new pup Knox!) with and a contrasting bright abstract pattern on the opposite wall.
