Día de los Muertos

For whatever reason, I really love all of the imagery for Dia de los Muertos.  I just love all of the bright colors juxtaposed with macabre skulls; the handmade, folksie quality of all of the pieces, all of the different textures and styles... It's all right up my alley!

I don't know that much about the actual holiday (except what I just read on Wikipedia and that all of the private school kids get to stay home...) but I think I would like it: A day where you celebrate your deceased loved ones with food, drink and dance? Sounds alright to me!

Happy Day of the Dead!

Etsy Thursday

Hey guys! Well, I have been busy preparing for the holiday season (new designs galore!) and also preparing for the after holiday season (or as I like to call it "engagement season") I'll have many new Save the Dates available soon and I am also dabbling in letterpress designs! I have come across an awesome local letterpress printer, so hopefully I will be able to offer all of you bride-to-be's gorgeous wedding invitations that won't break your bank! In the meantime, please enjoy some of my Etsy Treasury Lists (so addictive!) and some new designs!

Fairy Tale Fever

Has anyone else noticed the trend with Fairy Tales lately? There is the new ABC series "Once Upon a Time" and NBC has the new series "Grimm" (cop show about fairy tales... interesting). There are 2 Snow White movies coming out in 2012 and don't forget (the rather forgettable)Red Riding Hood from last year.

In honor of this very random observation, I have created an Etsy Treasury List (my newest obsession) in honor these extraordinary tales. Check it out by clicking here!
